In short
- Nobody can pay us through this website, and no shop pays for Sorto yet.
- When Sorto is sold, each shop’s price, billing period and refund terms will be written in its own order form, signed before any payment.
- This page sets out the rules every order form will follow. If an order form says something different, the order form wins for that shop.
Words used on this page
- Subscription: paying regularly, for example each month or each year, to keep using Sorto.
- Paid period: the stretch of time one payment covers.
- Order form: the signed document that sets a shop’s price, paid period and terms.
- Cooling-off period: a short time after the first payment in which a shop can change its mind and get its money back.
The rules every order form will follow
- Prices are only in the order form. This website shows no prices.
- A shop can cancel at any time by writing to us (see “How to cancel”).
- When cancellation takes effect: at the end of the current paid period.
- No refund for time already used. We do not promise a refund for any part of a paid period that has passed.
- Cooling-off for the first paid period: No cooling-off period.
- Unused paid time: not refunded. A shop that cancels keeps using Sorto until the end of the paid period, and the unused part is not refunded.
- Charged by mistake: if we charge a shop twice, or charge the wrong amount, we refund the extra.
- How refunds are paid: back to the account the payment came from, within 7 days of our agreeing it.
- Price changes: we will give 30 days’ notice in writing before a new price applies. A shop can cancel before the new price starts.
- If we stop the service: we will give 30 days’ notice in writing, and any prepaid time after the end date is refunded.
How to cancel
Email hello@getsorto.in from the email address in your order form. Please include:
- your shop’s name, as in the order form;
- that you want to cancel; and
- the date you want it to end, if you have a preference.
We will confirm the cancellation, and its end date, in writing within 2 working days.
What happens to your data
A shop’s data belongs to the shop. Cancelling does not take it away. Full details are on our Data Use and Retention page. In short:
- Before cancelling, a shop can take a full copy of its data out. Excel files of the menu and stock can be taken out today. A full export of a shop’s books is planned.
- Data on the shop’s own computer stays there. After a cancellation the shop’s copy stays usable read-only, so the shop can still look up and export old records. This is the plan and is not built yet.
- Data we hold for the shop is deleted 30 days after the cancellation takes effect, except anything a law requires us to keep.
A shop must still keep its own business records for as long as tax and company law require. Please take your copy before our deletion date.
